If you are tired with beef and chicken, try seafood. Lobster is a perfect option. And in case you wonder that you have never had lobster before, I will show you some of my opinions about this dish in the following content. You will have a preparation to decide whether to choose it for the next meal.

Is lobster good for everyone?
From my experiences, I am not so sure that lobster is for everyone. Those who are allergic to seafood or suffer from hypertension or cardiovascular diseases may be not interested in lobsters. However, I can make sure that this food contains various nutrients improving and maintaining human health.
A lobster has a high content of omega-3 fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, phosphorus, and calcium. Therefore, it can boost the functions of your nervous system, provide you with energy, and has a significant effect on your muscles.
If you plan to practice for six-packs, lobsters are an inevitable dish in your meals. Moreover, the good fat and calcium inside each lobster are excellent to prevent inflammation and strengthen your bones, helping you reduce cancer risks and enhance your overall health.
What does lobster taste like?
It’s often quite difficult to describe what a type of food taste like, particularly lobster. It is very unique. If I must tell you what a lobster is like, I will say that it is a combination of a crab and a shrimp. Its meat has the sweet flavor of muscles but still, there is a salty odor of the sea.
If you had had crabs and shrimps before, I believe it is not hard to imagine. Nevertheless, if you really desire to know what a lobster tastes like, just buy one and enjoy it. You will see if my feelings are right or not. I will show you some excellent ways to make lobsters taste like heaven in the next section.
The best recipes with lobsters that you need to know
Boiled lobster with corns and potatoes
What you need:
- Fresh lobsters. Each one should be at least 1.5 pounds and it depends on the number of people you serve to decide how many lobsters you need.
- One pound of red potatoes. Remember to scrub and cut each of them into 4 pieces
- Four small corns
- A half of stick butter. Melt it before cooking
- One tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning
- Fresh parsley
- Salt and ground pepper
Step 1: Fill your pot with water to boil lobsters. Choosing a large pot with deep bottom is the best because your lobster will be able to fit in and water will not spill out when it gets hot as well.
Step 2: Put some water into the pot and heat it to about 350 Fahrenheit degrees. Use a thermometer if you need.
Step 3: Put your lobster into the hot water and boil it in 15 minutes. You should be careful not to let it bite. And to make sure it gets boiled equally, you should put the lobster on a scale.
Then, every ten minutes is equivalent to one minute. It means that if your lobster is two pounds, it should be boiled in 20 minutes instead of 15.
Step 4: Take them out and drain them on a plate before serving with corns and potatoes.
Corns and potatoes:
Step 1: While waiting for the lobster, take out corns and potatoes and start boiling.
Step 2: After 15 minutes, when corns and potatoes are soft, season them with Old Bay, salt, and pepper. The amount is up to you.
Step 3: Take them out and top them if melted butter
Lobster with beer and risotto
What you need:
- 2.5 cups of chicken broth
- Three tablespoons of unsalted butter
- One shallot, chopped
- Two cloves of minced garlic
- Three-fourth cups of Arborio rice
- One tablespoon of olive oil
- Two cups of Saison Beer
- One-fourth cup of Parmesan cheese
- Two tablespoons of heavy cream
- A half of one teaspoon of black pepper
- One-fourth of one teaspoon of salt
- Two teaspoons of chopped chives
- 2.5 cups of butter (unsalted)
- Two lobster tails, fresh
Step 1: Pour chicken broth into a saucepan and simmer it
Step 2: Meanwhile, melt the butter in another skillet. Remember to set medium heat and cook until it is softened. Then, add some garlic and keep melting for another 20 seconds.
Step 3: Add rice to the melted butter and stir them well.
Step 4: When the rice is all coated with butter, which is after about 2 minutes, put half of a cup of Saison beer into the mixture and mix them.
Step 5: After 6 minutes, when the rice starts becoming dry, add a half of a cup of chicken broth and stir everything well.
Step 6: When the rice is nearly dry, put another half cup of chicken broth into the pan and repeat stirring.
Step 7: After the risotto is done, which you can test by tasting its crunchy flavor, turn the heat down and add some cheese cream, 2 tablespoons of beer, salt, and pepper. If the rice is wet and has a soft taste, it is considered to be successful
Step 1: During the time when risotto is being cooked, you can work with the lobster. First, cut out its tail. You should slice a line from the head to the tail end of the lobster in order to remove the meat in the tail easily.
Step 2: Pour the rest of the Saison beer into a dry pan and heat it to about 160-180 Fahrenheit degrees.
Step 3: Put the tail into the pan and cook until it turns red, which takes approx. 6-8 minutes. It’s better to notice the time; otherwise, the lobster meat will get rubbery.
Step 4: Take the tail out and serve with risotto.
